4 November 2016 - Southeast Asia’s first Tournament Players Club; TPC Kuala Lumpur made a big sweep of 10 awards just months after its major rebranding from Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club to TPC Kuala Lumpur, and playing host to the recently concluded PGA TOUR-sanctioned CIMB Classic and Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia tournaments.
Nine awards were received from the Asia Pacific Golf Group during the glitzy Asian Golf Awards 2016 Gala Night. These include the coveted Asia Pacific Pinnacle Award of Excellence, Best Course in Malaysia, Golf Course Superintendent of the Year, First Runner Up for Best Clubhouse in Asia Pacific, Best ProShop in Asia Pacific, Best Marcomm Manager of the Year and Best HR Manager of the Year, and Second Runner Up for Best Managed Golf Club in Asia Pacific and Best Locker Room in Asia Pacific.
In addition to the above, TPC Kuala Lumpur won the Best Golf Experience category at the 2016 Best of Malaysia Awards for the fifth consecutive year.

TPC Kuala Lumpur is recognized for staging the PGA TOUR, European Tour and the LPGA all within a year for three consecutive years between 2013 and 2015. In October 2016, TPC Kuala Lumpur made history again by successfully staging the PGA TOUR-sanctioned CIMB Classic and Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia consecutively, both feats unknown before in the history of golf.
