14 JUNE 2023: Battersea Power Station has been awarded ‘Developer of the Year- Commercial Property’ at the prestigious 2023 Property Awards, for the transformational restoration of the Grade II* listed landmark.
Celebrating the biggest achievements in commercial property over the past 12 months, the Property Awards singled out Battersea Power Station for its grand public opening in October 2022, delivering 254 apartments, 565,000 sq ft of office space and over 100 shops, restaurants, bars and unique leisure experiences, positioned inside the landmark.
Creating a new town centre for all, the judges also highlighted Battersea Power Station’s commitment to opening as much of the landmark to the public as possible, and providing a major boost to the local community. Battersea Power Station has created 2,500 jobs directly from the opening of the Power Station and Electric Boulevard, a new pedestrianised high street, and a total of 20,000 new jobs are expected once the 42-acre neighbourhood is complete. The developer has also connected Battersea to the rest of central London through the delivery of the Northern Line Extension, following the opening of the Zone 1 Battersea Power Station Underground station in September 2021.
Since opening in October 2022, Battersea Power Station has welcomed nearly six million visitors through its doors and its success will continue with more retail openings this summer, and new parts of the development completing later this year A 24,000 sq ft Arcade Food Hall, BAO, and Bounce Ping Pong will be opening later this year, joining the recently opened LEGO® and neighbourhood pasta restaurant, Noci.
A new state-of-the-art office space, 50 Electric Boulevard, is due to complete later this year, providing 200,000 sq ft of flexible commercial space with wellbeing and frictionless smart tech at its heart, as well as a new collection of 204 apartments, Koa at Electric Boulevard.

Battersea Power Station is one of central London’s largest, most visionary new riverside neighbourhoods. The successful regeneration of Battersea Power Station will create 20,000 new jobs, generating long term career opportunities for local residents. A new NHS medical facility is also being built.
The wider Battersea Power Station development is owned by a consortium of Malaysian investors comprised of S P Setia (40%), Sime Darby Property (40%) and The Employees’ Provident Fund (20%), with the commercial assets within the Power Station building now being directly owned by Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) and EPF.
