Strong Sales for Battersea as Buyers Commit ?681m

LONDON, 20 May 2013 - Battersea Power Station Development Company ( BPSDC ) is delighted to confirm that sales contracts have been formally entered into with purchasers for 824 units or 95 per cent of apartments and townhouses within Phase One - known as Circus West - since sales commenced in London on 9th January 2013 and Kuala Lumpur on 12th January 2013.

This represents a total sales value of ?681 million. Building on site is expected to commence in July 2013 with completion of Phase One anticipated in 2016/2017.

Rob Tincknell, Chief Executive Officer of Battersea Power Station Development Company commented:

Since our UK launch in early January, we ve seen phenomenal interest which has continued unabated over the last few months, enabling us to secure committed sales of ?681 million to date, making Circus West at Battersea Power Station one of the fastest selling developments in London in recent years. I am delighted with the response we have had both in the UK and abroad.

Circus West at Battersea Power Station is a mix of 866 one, two and three bedroom apartments, townhouses and penthouses as well as a blend of offices, shops, leisure and hospitality designed by Ian Simpson Architects and de Ryke Marsh Morgan. The penthouses and Residents Club in Phase One, are designed by David Linley.

July 2013 will see the opening of The Pavilion, the first substantial new structure to be built on the site since the iconic Power Station itself. Designed by Ian Simpson Architects, incorporating the extensive use of glass, the 1,500 sq. m, three-story building will act as a customer service centre for existing purchasers as well as a sales building for future phases. The Pavilion will also include conference and hospitality facilities designed by interior designers LINLEY, a roof terrace with spectacular views over the Thames and two show apartments designed by Johnson Naylor.

The regeneration of the world-recognised Battersea Power Station is a unique proposition and a key element of the extensive redevelopment of Nine Elms on London s South Bank. It is the designated town centre for the area, with a new High Street and tube station to be served by the Northern Line Extension of the London Underground. The redevelopment will deliver a genuine mix of residential, retail and recreational opportunities alongside riverside landscaping and space for the arts, providing a destination for people to live, work and socialise.

Further information on Battersea Power Station can be found at www.batterseapowerstation.co.uk or telephone +44 (0)20 7501 0678. A temporary UK sales exhibition centre at Battersea Power Station is open by appointment.

Notes to Editors

The Rafael Vinoly designed mixed-use master plan comprises a careful blend of residential, offices, shops, leisure and hospitality. The iconic Battersea Power Station, a Grade II* listed building, will form the central focus of the plans and will be carefully restored with public accessibility at its core.

The 39-acre site overlooks over 400 metres of London's famous River Thames, less than a mile and a half from the House of Parliament. It is directly opposite Chelsea and forms the cornerstone of London's last significant regeneration area, Nine Elms.

The Battersea Power Station site is owned by a consortium of Malaysian investors comprising S P Setia, Sime Darby and the Employees Provident Fund. The development management of the project is being undertaken by British based, Battersea Power Station Development Company.

Battersea Power Station received outline Planning Consent in August 2011. Phase One received detailed planning consent from The London Borough of Wandsworth on 13th December 2012.

Battersea Power Station is fully supporting the proposed Northern Line Extension and working in conjunction with Transport for London and UK Infrastructure to progress to a Transport and Works Act Order Application in the second quarter of 2013.
