KUALA LUMPUR, 29 November 2016 – Sime Darby Property has signed on Turner International, a renowned international construction services company, as its project management and construction management consultant for the design, quality and delivery of a number of its high-rise development projects.

A signing ceremony was held at ALYA Kuala Lumpur International Sales Gallery to signify the agreement between both parties. The combination of Sime Darby Property’s 40-year development experience and Turner International’s global expertise in construction will boost the level of quality and delivery of the products offered by Sime Darby Property to its customers.

The agreement was signed by Sime Darby Property Chief Operating Officer Dato’ Wan Hashimi Albakri and Turner International Vice President & Regional Director (South East Asia) Michael Doring, witnessed by Sime Darby Property Director Dato’ Johan Ariffin, Sime Darby Property Managing Director Dato’ Ir. Jauhari Hamidi, Turner International President & CEO Abrar Sheriff and Turner International Program Director Douglas Diercksen.

Among the areas of project management services which will be provided by Turner International include design and engineering management, construction management, safety, quality, planning and controls, as well as project close-out.

Turner International’s involvement with Sime Darby Property encompasses advisory and consultancy roles for Cantara Residences at Ara Damansara, an integrated development of 888 serviced apartment units and 13 commercial units with an iconic link bridge connecting its four apartment blocks; and Quarza Residence, an integrated development of two residential towers with 254 units each and 607,519 sq ft of retail space.

Turner International will be integral to the development of Jendela, an upcoming integrated development of serviced apartments and retail space at ALYA Kuala Lumpur, with a planned launch in early 2017. Jendela consists of three building blocks which will consist of 565 residential units and 27 retail units, featuring a wide array of leisure and recreational facilities. Turner International will be involved throughout the value chain from its initial design and planning stages right up to the construction stages.
