ARA DAMANSARA, 26 SEPTEMBER 2023: Sime Darby Property Berhad (“Sime Darby Property” or “Company”) continues to elevate the sustainable real estate space with two globally recognised certificates for its efforts in environmentally friendly property development.

The Company's Cantara Residences has been awarded a Gold Rating in the Residential New Construction category by the Green Building Index (“GBI”) Accreditation Panel. GBI is Malaysia's first comprehensive rating system that is recognised internationally and benchmarked against international standards such as the World Green Building Council (“WGBC”).

Located in the distinguished township of Ara Damansara, Cantara Residences has been awarded a Gold Rating in the Residential New Construction category by the Green Building Index Accreditation Panel.

Adding to its laurel is the Elmina Central Park in City of Elmina which has also bloomed into an internationally certified arboretum as verified by the ArbNet Arboretum Accreditation Program and The Morton Arboretum. The 300-acre park is now officially certified as a ‘Level II arboretum’ after surpassing the minimum requirement of 100 species of woody plants and providing a valuable service to the public through various education and awareness initiatives.

These accreditations add to Cantara Residences' and the City of Elmina's successes. Located in the distinguished township of Ara Damansara, the family-oriented Cantara Residences was bestowed with the World Silver award for the Residential Mid-Rise category at the 2023 FIABCI World Prix d'Excellence Awards, where City of Elmina also emerged as the World Gold Winner in the Master Plan category.
