ARA DAMANSARA, 17 AUGUST 2022 – Sime Darby Property Berhad (“Sime Darby Property” or “Company”) announced the top winners of the first and second waves for its Capture 8 Photo Contest (“Capture 8”) during a prize giving ceremony at The International Gallery in KLGCC Resort. 

The inaugural competition held in collaboration with Canon Malaysia encouraged participants to submit photographs that best capture the uniqueness of the property developer’s townships using these three themes – Leisure, Culture and Nature.

A total of 84 winners from the Professional, Smartphone, Drone and Special categories were selected from the over thousands submissions received for the first and second waves of the competition.

The winners’ submissions highlighted the beauty and wonders of four Sime Darby Property townships, namely Putra Heights in Selangor; KLGCC Resort in Kuala Lumpur; and Bandar Ainsdale and Nilai Impian in Negeri Sembilan.

Present during the event were Sime Darby Property’s Chief Operating Officer - Township Development, Appollo Leong, together with Chief Operating Officer - Integrated Development, Datuk Ir. Mohd Idris Abdullah; as well as Canon Malaysia’s Director of Imaging Communication Business, Hunter Zhang Hongtu and its Head of Consumer System Product Division, Sandy Lee.

Capture 8 officially kicked off in April 2022 and will be running for a period of eight months until 30 November 2022. Open to all Malaysians, the competition offers prizes worth over RM288,888 in total. The first prize winners from each category will be in the running to win the ultimate Grand  Prize of an all-paid trip for two to the prestigious Battersea Power Station in Central London, United Kingdom.

From now until 7 October 2022, participants can join the third wave of Capture 8 and submit photographs featuring the Serenia City and Subang Jaya City Centre (“SJCC”) townships in Selangor, while the fourth wave starting 8 October 2022 to 7 December 2022 will feature the townships of City of Elmina in Selangor and KL East in Kuala Lumpur.
