Get Ready to Glide: Battersea Power Station's Iconic Ice Rink Returns for A Spectacular Second Year with Jo Malone London

5 SEPTEMBER 2023: After a phenomenal debut year, Battersea Power Station and IMG are thrilled to announce the return of Jo Malone London presents Glide at Battersea Power Station, London's only riverside ice rink. Opening to the public on 10 November 2023 for over eight weeks, this breathtaking open-air ice rink allows visitors to skate against the backdrop of the iconic Grade II* listed Power Station, making it a must-visit destination for the upcoming winter season.

Jo Malone London presents Glide at Battersea Power Station features not just one, but three interconnecting ice rinks, uniquely shaped to provide skaters of all levels with ample space and time to showcase their skills. At the heart of the ice rink stands a magnificent Jo Malone London decorated 30ft Christmas tree, adding an extra touch of festive charm with their infamous luxury products and style. Whether you're planning a picture-perfect date night, eager to test your blades with fellow skating enthusiasts, or enjoying a family outing with little ones supported by penguin skate aids, the rink caters to all, promising an unforgettable experience. 

Also returning for 2023, is the partnership with internationally renowned fragrance house, Jo Malone London. Known for its unexpected fragrances and distinctly British character, visitors to the rink can discover fragrant favourites at the on-site Jo Malone London immersive experience, whilst browsing the latest collection of festive colognes and home scents to inspire a joyful mood. At the store within Battersea Power Station, customers will be able to customise gifts with a selection of bespoke personalisation - emboss your gift box with a name, date or symbol or add engraved initials to your bottle to make it a cherished keepsake. Take a picture next to the giant Jo Malone London branded installations and Christmas tree adorned with the brand’s signature style. 

Off the ice, the excitement continues with an array of vintage-style fairground rides, live entertainment, and captivating photo booths to capture precious moments. Plus, following an incredible first year, The Glass House bar will be returning so guests can fuel up before a skate or relax with a well-earned post-skate treat. A programme of entertainment will be on offer throughout the week with pub quizzes, themed music night, DJs and live bands. The transparent walls and ceiling of The Glass House will let visitors absorb the beautiful festive surroundings and iconic Power Station from the warmth of the cosy bar. 

Battersea Power Station is also the perfect place for a spot of Christmas shopping with its great mix of British and international brands such as Le Labo, Rituals, Mulberry, LEGO®, ME+EM, Space NK, Aesop, lululemon, Jigsaw and The Body Shop, as well as small independents including the Battersea Bookshop and Curated Makers. 

The riverside neighbourhood offers an assortment of fabulous food and drink venues too including Le Bab, neighbourhood pasta restaurant, Noci, Roti King, Wright Brothers, Vagabond Wines, wagamama, Battersea Brewery, Tapas Brindisa, Where The Pancakes Are, 1950s style all-day bar, Control Room B, and Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar to name a few. Nearest tube – Battersea Power Station (Northern Line)

With the recently opened Zone 1 Battersea Power Station Underground station on the Northern Line Extension, the development is only a 15-minute journey from the West End and the City. It also has its very own Uber Boat by Thames Clippers pier and is a 15-minute journey from Embankment, 20 minutes from Blackfriars, 30 minutes from Putney and 40 minutes from Canary Wharf. Battersea Power Station is easily accessible by bus, bike, car and train too.
