ARA DAMANSARA, 17 April 2018 – Sime Darby Property Berhad has announced a new appointment in its leadership line up, strengthening its senior management team and positioning the company for future growth.

Azlina Hamzah came on board as Sime Darby Property’s Chief People Officer on 1 April 2018. She reports directly to the Group Managing Director, Amrin Awaluddin. With over 25 years of experience, Azlina adds value to the company by having broad business perspectives and a strategic mindset.

Azlina will oversee the full spectrum of talent development and culture transformation by unlocking and delivering business value through people. She will be working closely with Sime Darby Property business leaders to shape the talent bench strength, champion people development through talent management and succession, aligning performance to rewards and maximising talent engagement.

Her previous work experience includes blue chip companies namely Motorola, Standard Chartered Bank, Aon Hewitt and Hay Group, as well as hospitality brands such as Marriott and Hyatt International.

Azlina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the George Mason University, USA, and a Master’s in Human Resources from the George Washington University, USA. She is also a graduate of the NAM Institute for the Empowerment of Women (NIEW) and the Malaysian Directors Academy (MINDA) Women’s Directors Programme.
