ARA DAMANSARA, 28 APRIL 2022 – Sime Darby Property Berhad (“Sime Darby Property” or “Company”) is offering an all-paid trip for two to the prestigious Battersea Power Station in Central London, United Kingdom as the Grand Prize for its Capture 8 Photo Contest (“Capture 8”).

Held in partnership with Canon Malaysia, the exciting contest requires participants to submit photos that best capture the uniqueness of the property developer’s townships using these three themes – Leisure, Culture and Nature.

The contest will run for a period of eight months until 30 November 2022, covering eight featured Sime Darby Property townships, with eight attractive prizes offered for each category of Professional, Smartphone and Drone.

In addition to the magnificent Grand Prize, participants can also look forward to other great prizes worth over RM288,888, including Canon DSLR cameras, Canon Printers, DJI Drones and cash prizes.

The eight townships featured in this contest are City of Elmina, Serenia City, Putra Heights, Subang Jaya City Centre (“SJCC”) in Selangor, KLGCC Resort and KL East in Kuala Lumpur, as well as Nilai Impian and Bandar Ainsdale in Negeri Sembilan.

These Sime Darby Property townships are each distinguished and prominent in their own unique ways, with ample embodiment of the contest’s themes. Our townships are famed for Leisure features that promote rest and relaxation; Culture is abundant in our placemaking efforts; and Nature is represented in its natural settings and via our sustainability efforts.

The Capture 8 Photo Contest will allow the public to experience how these three themes are brought to life distinctively in each township through careful planning, design, and execution. Participants are encouraged to use their skills and creativity to tell the stories of these townships, in any or all of the competition categories and register to enter their submissions at the official Capture 8 Photo Contest website as listed below. The entries will be judged according to adherence to theme, originality, creativity, and expressiveness.

Sime Darby Property will be conducting virtual workshops helmed by some of our esteemed judges who are also professional photographers to provide guidance, tips, and inspiration to those who wish to improve their chances of winning.
